Color
Mixing my palette is a meditative and methodical beginning of my painting process. This is where I set the tone and harness continuity.
Texture
I often work in thin layers, allowing the light to reflect through the paint and create a new brilliance through my colors. My brushwork is soft, but you will still find elements of mark-making.
Scale
Each canvas is made by me. From cutting stretcher bars and building the frames, to stretching and priming the canvas. This gives me the flexibility to create a piece is any size and dimension.
